But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you [Romans 8:11 KJV].
“After the death comes the resurrection!” These were the words that God spoke to Pastor Beverly A. Scott at the close of 2018. It was immediately after ending a 20-year ministry, that God declared a new ministry, His ministry, was on the horizon. The seed was planted!
The next year was spent seeking the Lord for guidance for His church, ministering in the vineyard and developing deliverance materials for the Body of Christ. In January 2020, Pastor Scott and a few faithful believers began gathering for bible study and weekly services in her home. After a few months, amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, the gatherings transitioned to an online presence. In April 2020, the group agreed to follow God’s commission for the ministry. Resurrection was birthed!
The next year was spent laying the spiritual foundation for the ministry and forming the legal entity of the church. We were officially incorporated in the state of Delaware, adopted and ratified our organizational constitution and bylaws, and obtained IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as Resurrection Church, Inc.
With an earnest desire to spread the Gospel and have a place where people could gather to worship the Lord, it was determined that we needed a building. In the height of the pandemic, we began searching for a dwelling place for our Lord. In April 2022, God led us to Galena, MD. Resurrection Power (The Ecclesia) is alive!
Why “The Ecclesia”?
The Ecclesia simply means an assembly, congregation or church. We are a bible teaching church of the Living God, called and set apart for His glory. But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself [Psalm 4:3 KJV]. We are a people chosen to live sanctified as holy vessels in the earth today. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light [1 Peter 2:9 KJV].
We are a new ministry, a small ministry striving to share the Word of God & His love for all people. Whether you are starting a new life in Christ, a seasoned believer or not saved, we all need to experience God’s unconditional love & just how real He is. As we continue to build, develop, and increase in faith, we would be delighted to have you worship with us. All are welcome!
